A bamboo sanctuary on a Bali cliffside
Three handcrafted villas on a cliff edge near Sidemen, in the quiet highlands of Klungkung — an hour and a quarter from the airport, fifty minutes from Ubud, and a world away from south Bali's traffic.
Each was designed by a renowned bamboo architect and built by local craftsmen, largely by hand. There are almost no right angles: the structures follow the curve of the bamboo and the slope of the land. From the cliff you can see Mount Agung to the left, the Indian Ocean to the right, and rice terraces in the valley below.
What's included
A private infinity pool with every villa, breakfast for two each morning, and a team of fifteen on site — chefs, drivers, butlers and guides. In-villa dining, massage, private yoga and tours arranged on request.
Our three villas
The Treehouse — sleeps two, fifteen metres up in the clove trees. Adults only.
The Curve — sleeps two, built without a single right angle. Children 12 and over welcome.
The Dream — sleeps six, three bedrooms, the largest pool. Children are welcome with adult supervision.
